Your iChat login is not your correct login. FIX: Open your Address Book, go to Card -> Go to my Card. Change the name of that card to your information.

When windows or applications are minimized, their respective icon may appear pixelated or fuzzy in the dock (see below)

FIX: None apparently. Workaround is to go to DOCK in System Preferences and select minimize windows into application dock. To see if you have a a minimized app or page, control click the dock icon and you will see a diamond.

Ordered ES software-Kid Keys, Reading Blaster, Math Blaster from Knowledge Explorer will not run on SL. I have contacted the company to see if they plan on upgrading software to run with SL, still no response. - jdungan May 27, 2010

Adobe CS4 alert: When opening Adobe Acrobat Professional for first time, an alert pops up telling you to open Adobe Photoshop first. FIX: Open Adobe Photoshop, then close it. You only have to do it once.

EXPOSE now appears in a grid-like format, instead of randomly on your screen. This view exposes individual Stickies. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=776139 ) FIX: None so far. (Don't have so many stickies to make this a problem)

Audacity cannot export to MP3s. FIX: This is very tricky. In Audacity, you must install a LAME plug-in "libmp3lame.dylib." For some reason in Snow Leopard, the folder where the LAME plug-in is in, "/usr/local/lib/audacity" is invisible and locked. You must go to Finder-> go -> Go to folder and type in usr/local/lib. From there you can select Command+I, and give read/write permissions to the folder. Please consult your techie if not sure. FIX 2: Use Quicktime, VoiceCandy or Garageband for recording and Garageband for editing.

Handbrake - when trying to copy and rip content from a DVD, it asks you for the correct version of VLC. FIX: You must download and install VLC 1.02. Download here. Note, this does not pertain to .avi, .mp4 files that are already ripped.

Snow Leopard desktop is too dark and/or second monitor, video display is too dark. FIX: Apparently, according to the threads, this is a bug in 10.6.3 (current version installed on SAS computers). You may try this workaround until it is fixed in 10.6.4: "If you go to Displays, in System Preferences and select Color and Display all profiles then selecting say Generic RGB Profile or perhaps Wide Gamut RGB should make an appreciable difference until Apple comes up with a fix." http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2406191&start=15&tstart=15#11475468 Also, Jonathan Chambers has created a simple video tutorial on how to do this here .

Font problems in PDFs and web pages. Some numbers have been replaced by unreadable characters. FIX: This usually is this case of duplicate fonts and can easily be fixed by opening Font Book in Applications and selecting any font that has a yellow alert next to it and go to "Edit" -> Resolve Duplicates. Close and reopen your pages and they should appear correctly.
